Have you seen the new C60 wallpaper we added to the site on Friday?? It's one of the new designs by Mini Moderns. I love it because it features hand-drawn cassettes...yes cassettes...Do you remember when we were recording music on cassettes to listen to them on our Walkman!?
My Dad used to record radio programs on cassettes and he made some great compil's...
When I think about Mila, 5 years old who already knows how to skype her cousin in Paris, watches movies on our Mac and knew how to use the touch-pad mouse of the computer instinctively, I think I may have a bit of a difficult time to explain to her that her mum (errm...old) used to listen to music on cassettes when she was young :-)
A vintage school map (or from here), a RAR rocking chair, a Jielde lamp and a pretty garland....et voila....que du bon, que du beau

For us, the experience was AWESOME, incredibly chilled out and has given us lots of happy memories to take back to London!
I loved how Helen leaves scones, cream and jam for her guests in each Airstream. I also really loved that you can buy local products (jams with delightful, old-fashioned labels, Apple juices, fresh loafs of bread, eggs and bacon) and leave the money in a Honesty box .
I was totally seduced by the little 'shop in a hut' Helen put together to sell vintage knick-knack and clothes and the wonderful, creative comments and drawings previous guests left in each Airstream....
This weekend was truly wonderful.....
Yesterday, I was saying how much I love Kathleen Hills' work so here is another reason why I think she is very talented....She sourced vintage lamp shades and gave them a contemporary twist by adding her trademarks style ....beautiful parts in bone china and twisted flex.
I think the result is a beautiful almost romantic pendant light that will add lightness and style to a bedroom or bathroom.
Available in 6 colours: green, pink, purple, white, red and turquoise!
Do you remember my little post about vintage toy at the beginning of the month? For those who've just joined in, I was just saying that vintage toys have a unique charm to them and from a decoration point-of-view, they just look fab on a shelf.
A couple of years ago, I started a little collection of vintage toys in Mila's bedroom (on a shelf she can't really reach)...well vintage cars actually. I don't know why I'm so attracted to cars but it just happened... some are proper vintage ones picked up in second-hand shops other are just beautiful replicas so imagine how excited I was when I came across the Sunbeam car, the Lilliput robot and this other cutie in blue!!
Err...hello....look how gorgeous there are! I'm super excited....Elodie and I were trying to find some really cool and unusual gifts for men for this Christmas and I think they are just perfect...
I went for a run this morning at 6am and on my way back home, I spotted something which I thought was a foldable stool but when I opened, it turned out to be better than I thought!
It was a little deckchair for children...
It doesn't look very fresh right now or clean....but a bit of TLC and a new fabric and it will be perfect for Mila who has decided she wants it white and yellow.

This cosy weekender is very different from her girly chic warehouse apartment I'm sure you're all familiar with and adore as much as I do, but equally as beautiful. Mz Gardener has successfully catered for both sexes by going for a more industrial vintage look. Most of the items were purchased either at flea markets or salvage stores.
I especially love the kitchen with it's open timber shelves and blackboard wall.
No Gardener home would be complete without her signature clawfoot bath :)
Simple but very enticing. I love those white shutters!

I forever struggle with trying to define my own personal style. I try to follow the rules with one but then add something completely different to the look. I guess you could say I'm more of an eclectic kind of gal, but one element will forever remain in my interiors and thats my love of all things vintage.
